Chairing is caring

Do you feel you are too busy? Do you want a quick effective way to relieve tension without having to undress and lay on the massage table? Then a chair massage is for you!

I can do a chair massage for 20 or 30 minutes. The main areas of focus are back, shoulders, arms, hands, neck and head. If you feel hesitant about having to remove your clothing no need to worry, a chair massage is performed through your clothes. My chair is ergonomically designed to enable you to completely relax.

After a short intake to find out if there is anything I need to take into consideration such as injuries and medical conditions the massage can begin. I use a combination of pressure points with my elbows and thumbs together with kneading with my palms and fingers. A chair massage is ideal for those clients who are new to massage therapy and may feel more comfortable with a shorter, less invasive session.

My chair is portable (it weighs about 8 kilos), and therefore ideal for the workplace or corporate events where clients can get some quick stress relief, reload and then be ready and alert for whatever is planned afterwards. (Text continues below image)

However, chair massage is not solely for corporate arenas, I have private clients who come to my practice for a chair massage (in this case I recommend a 30-minute session) as this type of massage works best for them. I also do “combi-sessions” where a client has a half-hour fully clothed upper body chair massage then we switch to the table and I massage the legs with oil (no need to remove upper body clothing). Also, chair massage is an ideal solution for clients who are less mobile and not so flexible and may have trouble getting on and off the table, lying down and also turning over.
